Dr. Luis Rabelo NASA Fellow

    Luis Rabelo received a dual Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the Technological University of Panama in 1983, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1987, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University of Missouri in 1988 and 1990 respectively. He was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Nuclear Engineering Department of the University of Missouri in 1991.

He worked as Operations Manager for an engineering consortium. He also worked for Ohio University as Associate Professor in the Department of Systems Engineering. He worked as a Senior R&D Engineer and Program Manager for the Advanced Technology Group of Goodrich (Cleveland, Ohio) where he worked in advanced technologies in Aerospace projects. He also received a dual M.S. in Management and Aerospace from the Sloan School of Management and the School of Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In addition, he was a Lead Scientist in the Honeywell Technology Center (Minneapolis, Minnesota). He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida (Orlando, Florida). He is a NASA Fellow. He has over 220 publications, 8 invention reports, and three international patents in Aerospace Systems (already flying in civilian and military aircrafts). He received in 2006 the ONE NASA Award for his work in NASA and the Prize as the best article of 2004 from the Society of Automotive Engineers - SAE International from 2,677 submissions. He is the board of several ventures in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Dr. Richard Ajayi, CFO

     Dr. Ajayi received MBA, Ph.D in Business administration from the Temple University, USA respectively in 1983 and 1989. He served as a successful project Director for International Business Grants at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida. His research interests include international financial markets, international business finance, exchange risk management, emerging market issues, and econometrics of financial markets. He has published scholarly articles in the Journal of Financial Research, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Pacific Basin Finance Journal, Global Finance Journal, and many other prestigious journals. He received the Anbar Citation of Excellence, highest quality rating, for his article “On the Dynamic Relationship between Stock Prices and Exchange Rates” published in the Journal of Financial Research in 1996.

He is a founding member of African Finance and Economics Association and he served as the association’s program manager from 1990-1995 and president from 1996-1998. He was one of the key delegates from African Finance and Economics Association to the launching of “African Capital Market Forum” in Nairobi, Kenya in 1993. He was also an invited participant in the international conference on “Revitalizing Private Investment in Africa” held in Accra, Ghana in 1996. He has had consulting engagements with African Economic Research Consortium, Non-Governmental Organizations in Africa, as well as State and State-related Institutions in Emerging Markets. He is a Finance and International Business Professor at the University of Central Florida, and a Distinguished International Adjunct Faculty at Alliance Business School, Bangalore, India. He is a consultant in international finance, especially on documentary credits, with clients including small, medium and large companies and recently with Siemens Westinghouse Corporation.

He also serves as a consultant and evaluator for Florida Universities wishing to apply for (or have received) International Business Grants. He is Editor-in-Chief, Global Journal of International Business Research, and Associate Editor for African Finance and Economic Development (JAFED) as well as the Alliance Journal of Business Research. He has served or continues to serve on the board of a number of companies including Surgilight Inc., Ask Fibi.com Inc, and Amicable Properties, LLC. , A-Z Digital Technologies, Inc., Expo Entertainments, LLC and Abela Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
